Meet Samantha

Registered Social Worker

samanthaarmsopencounselling@gmail.com

Whether you're navigating anxiety, the mental load of parenting, burnout, relationship trauma, or the lasting impact of a difficult childhood, therapy can offer you something rare: a space to pause, feel seen, and begin to heal.

I support men, women, and parents through major life transitions—like postpartum changes, hormonal shifts, relationship stress, and identity loss. I also work with people processing complex trauma.

Many of my clients come to therapy feeling like they’re “too much” or “not enough.” If that sounds familiar, you're not alone. Together, we’ll gently explore and begin to untangle those beliefs with compassion and curiosity.

My work is grounded in trauma-informed, narrative, and emotion-focused therapies. We’ll look at how your past may be shaping your present—and begin to rewrite the patterns that no longer serve you.

Healing isn’t about fixing yourself. It’s about coming home to who you are.

Ready to Start?

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in survival mode, I want you to know: change is possible. You don’t have to do this alone.

Samantha offers in-person sessions in Dunnville as well as virtual sessions.

Meet Angela

Registered Psychotherapist, Clinical Director

armsopencounselling@gmail.com

Angela is currently welcoming new couples clients into a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where both partners feel seen, heard, and respected.

Whether you’re dating, engaged, married, or navigating a separation—Angela offers a compassionate space to explore what’s working, what’s not, and how to move forward with greater clarity and connection.

She brings a compassionate, collaborative approach to couples therapy, grounded in a blend of research-based and emotionally attuned methods. Angela draws primarily from the Gottman Method, combined with emotion-focused therapy (EFT) and solution-focused strategies. This integrative style allows her to tailor each session to the unique needs of the couple while helping them work through challenges and build a stronger, healthier relationship.

At the core of Angela’s couples work is the Gottman Method, a well-established, evidence-based approach developed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman. Backed by decades of research, this method focuses on helping couples:

  • Strengthen friendship and intimacy

  • Improve communication patterns

  • Manage conflict in healthy, constructive ways

  • Rebuild trust and connection

  • Develop shared goals and meaning.

In addition to structured interventions, Angela incorporates emotion-focused therapy (EFT) techniques to help partners tune into the deeper emotions that often lie beneath surface-level conflicts. Many couples find themselves stuck in repeating patterns—arguments that don’t get resolved, emotional distance that grows over time, or a feeling of being misunderstood. By gently guiding couples to recognize and express their core emotions in a safe environment, Angela helps them reconnect on a more meaningful level.

You do not have to navigate this alone. Let Angela support you in rebuilding trust, deepening connection, and creating a relationship where both of you can thrive.

Angela offers in-person sessions in Smithville and as well as virtual
